Squad Meeting in Tampere

A squad meeting was held at Lake Näsijärvi in Tampere last weekend.

Korpr Beat, ylil Broileri, vänr Psykoisi, korpr Charlie Frank, korpr dr Origo, and stm Stellar have been awarded with Talkootyön Ansiomitali (TA) for participating.

FDF Flag Day

Finnish Defence Forces Flag Day has been celebrated today, on the 140th birthday of Field Marshal C. G. E. Mannerheim and Finland's 90th year of indepencende.

The following men have been awarded:
Kers Jafarin with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for updating the web site.
Alik Una with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for providing the detachment with a CQB battle manual.
Korpr Feersum with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for taking responsibility in matters concerning the detachment's servers.

Squad Meeting

LDDK's 10th squad meeting in Helsinki was held last Saturday.

Organizational Reform

LDDK has made an organizational reform in order to better counter the challenges of future conflicts. Sissi Squad has been detached from the 2nd Platoon and it is now part of HQ Platoon. Under the command of vänr Goeth, the living legend among veteran squad leaders, the squad will continue conducting reconnaissance, sabotage and guerrilla operations behind enemy lines, preparing the way for the rest of the company.

The 2nd Platoon is now Armoured Jaeger Platoon, comprising of Recon Squad, Mechanised Jaeger Squad and Tank Squad. When it comes to direct firepower, the 2nd Platoon is the strongest single unit in LDDK’s history, capable of tearing through any enemy defence. The platoon is in ylik Wolfskin’s command.

Award

Stm Nuatti has been awarded with Kuntoisuusloma (KL) for courage and determination in combat during the assault on Corazol on March 25, 2007. As the sole survivor of his platoon, stm Nuatti joined the remainders of the company and continued the fight in a T-72 until it was disabled by enemy fire. Stm Nuatti again continued fighting on foot, destroying a number of enemy main battle tanks and personnel and thus contributing in no small way to the successful completion of the mission.
